GREATER IS HE COLLECTION Tee
“You are from God children, and you have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1 JOHN 4:4
We are living in a time when the national news and podcasts are talking frankly about 'Day of Disclosure'—a moment when hidden realities, global shifts, or even non-human entities are predicted to reveal themselves to humanity. But the Bible warns us that a different kind of disclosure is already active.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11, scripture speaks of a coming 'strong delusion' that will sweep the earth—a series of lying signs and wonders designed to deceive those who reject the truth.
This isn't just political or technological; it is a spiritual trap. The stage is being meticulously set for a global system to unveil its ultimate lie, demanding total allegiance from an unsuspecting world.
How do we navigate an age where truth is systematically inverted? In the bible, the Apostle John gives us the survival blueprint. In 1 John 4:1, he commands us: 'Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.'
In his renowned Believer’s Bible Commentary, theologian William MacDonald cuts straight to the core of this warning. MacDonald emphasizes that the supreme test of any spiritual movement, teacher, or supernatural manifestation is their definition of Jesus Christ.
If a doctrine denies that Jesus is the Son of God come in the flesh, or attempts to substitute Him with a new global spirituality, it is driven by the spirit of the Antichrist. This deceptive goal is to hollow out the absolute authority of Jesus Christ.
As the darkness of this deception grows, how can a believer stand firm without falling into fear? The answer is 1 John 4:4:
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.’”
Look closely at how William MacDonald unpacks this monumental promise. He notes that John addresses believers as 'little children' to remind us of our absolute dependence on the Father. But then comes the victory: we have already overcome these demonic deceptions. How? Not by our intellect. Not by geopolitical survival strategies.
MacDonald writes that the indwelling Holy Spirit within the believer is infinitely superior in power, wisdom, and authority than the enemy and all his deceptive forces combined. You do not need to fear the coming deception, because the Victor already lives inside you.
So, how do we practically apply 1 John 4:4 to our lives?
First, Know Your IDENTITY. As MacDonald points out, you are 'of God.' Your citizenship and your security are unshakeable.
Second LIVE IN THE WORD. The only way to spot a counterfeit disclosure is to be intimately familiar with the real Truth. Study His word for a few minutes each day and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
Third REFUSE FEAR. The media and the spirit of the age utilize panic to breed confusion. But 1 John 4:4 reminds us that the enemy in the world is already defeated.
The world may be heading toward its greatest deception, but you are equipped for its greatest victory. Run to the ONE who is greater, Christ Jesus our Lord.
Greater is He!
